Furniture designed to last longer than just one season.
At Royalcraft, our furniture is designed to last longer than just one season. Whether you enjoy winding down in your conservatory throughout the winter or prefer a chilled morning on your patio or balcony during the autumn, relax in comfort and style no matter the weather.
It’s easy to think of outdoor furniture as exactly that: furniture for the outdoors, packed away the moment the evenings draw in. But the best pieces were never really built with a single season in mind. They’re built to suit you and your home, from the garden in July, to the conservatory in November and wherever you find yourself in between.
From conservatory comfort to patio living
A conservatory does something wonderful; it blurs the line between indoors and out. You get the shelter of a room with the light and openness of a garden - which makes it the perfect setting for furniture that’s equally comfortable in both worlds. Rattan-style lounge sets, deep-set cushions and warm, natural tones translate beautifully from a summer patio into a winter conservatory, so the space keeps working long after the garden furniture season has ended.
The same goes in reverse. Furniture chosen for a garden room or conservatory in the colder months is often exactly what you want back outside come spring and summer. This means the pieces that you love can come back out into the sunshine.
Balcony living, all year round
Balconies ask for a lot from furniture. Space is often tighter, exposure to weather can be greater and the furniture needs to look good from both inside looking out and outside looking in. All-season pieces are particularly suited here; compact, weather-resistant sets that can stay in pace through a British autumn without losing their shape or comfort.
Cosy evenings in the garden
For those crisp, autumn nights, there is nothing like a cosy evening in the garden to unwind. It’s exactly the atmosphere our fire pit lounge sets are built for. Introducing a fire pit into your garden can mean spending more time in the fresh air, relaxing in the evenings with a book or hot drink surrounded by friends and family. A good reminder that autumn isn’t outdoor furniture's off-season.
How to choose the right furniture
A few things to look out for if you want furniture that earns its place all year:
-
Weatherproof, quick-drying cushions that won’t hold moisture though damp autumn mornings.
-
Frames in materials such as all-weather rattan or powder-coated aluminium, which won't warp, rust or fade after repeated exposure.
-
Designs with a timeless, adaptable look. Pieces that feel natural in a conservatory or garden room as they do on a patio or balcony, so you’re never left with something that only makes sense in one setting.
-
Practical touches, like covers or cushions that can be brought inside during severe weather conditions.
Furniture that lasts
The changing seasons shouldn’t mean packing your favourite spot away until spring. With the right furniture, a conservatory becomes a second living room, a balcony stays usable well into autumn, and your patio can be used as the perfect blend between outdoors and in.

Care and maintenance
We strongly recommend storing your cushions in a dry place when not in use and during severe weather conditions. During a rain shower the Weather Shield fabric allows the water to bead on the surface which you can simply shake off. During heavy or persistent rain, water may ingress slightly through the sewing seams. Simply unzip the cover, remove the filling shaking out any water drops, before reinserting the filling into the cover for continued use. Drying time will vary depending on local weather conditions.

Our storage boxes are the perfect solution to store cushions and seat pads when your furniture is not in use.
