Royalcraft

Thoughtfully made for the homes you love — indoors and out.

At Royalcraft, we believe that the furniture you bring into your home should be made with care. Care for the materials, care for the people who craft them, and care for the planet we all share. Whether it's a dining table at the heart of your home or a garden set that hosts warm summer evenings, our approach is the same: thoughtful materials, responsible sourcing and designs built to last. Both our indoor and outdoor collections are crafted to be timeless, reducing the need for frequent replacements and encouraging a slower, more conscious way of furnishing your home.

Design That Lasts

We’ve always held the belief that the most sustainable piece of furniture is the one that lives in your home for years - perhaps even generations. That’s why our approach has never been about fast trends or disposable styles. Instead, we design with longevity in mind: simple silhouettes, durable materials and construction techniques that stand up to everyday life. A well-made table or outdoor seating set doesn’t just reduce waste; it becomes a part of your story. And when furniture is designed to last, its environmental footprint naturally becomes lighter.

Materials That Respect Nature

The materials we choose shape both the beauty of our designs and their environmental impact. We continually review our sourcing to ensure a balance of performance, durability and responsibility.

FSC®-certified timber is at the heart of our wooden collections, offering assurance that the wood comes from responsibly managed forests that support biodiversity and local communities. We’re working steadily to increase the proportion of FSC-certified wood throughout our range.

We’re also expanding the use of recycled and recyclable materials. It’s an ongoing process, and we make improvements each season as better alternatives become available. For fabrics, both indoor and outdoor, we prioritise durability, comfort and chemical safety, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and choosing treatments sparingly and responsibly.

Craftsmanship and Ethical Partnerships

Every Royalcraft piece passes through the hands of talented craftspeople. We’re fortunate to work with partners around the world who share our values around fairness, transparency and respect.

We expect high standards of everyone we work with, including fair pay, safe working conditions, ethical labour practices and strong environmental awareness. Modern slavery, forced labour and child labour are never tolerated within our supply chain, and we monitor our partners closely with the support of our HR, Product and Buying teams. A safe, respected workforce is essential to our success, and we’re committed to nurturing it across every location where Royalcraft operates.

Our People and Our Communities

The people behind Royalcraft - from our warehouse teams to our office staff, designers, craftspeople and delivery partners - are central to everything we do. We’re committed to providing a fair, supportive environment that encourages personal growth, wellbeing and skill development.

We’re equally proud to contribute positively to the communities around us. As we continue to grow, we’re committed to doing so responsibly, valuing diversity, supporting development and ensuring that everyone connected to our work benefits from our progress.

Reducing Our Footprint

Sustainability extends into how we operate day to day. Over recent years, we’ve introduced several initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint and support a more responsible future.

Royalcraft

One of our most significant steps was taken in 2021, when we installed solar energy systems across our West Midlands head office and warehouse. This upgrade allows us to generate clean, renewable energy on-site which has significantly reduced our carbon emissions and lowering our reliance on non-renewable power. It’s something we’re proud of, and a foundation we plan to build on in the years ahead.

Recycling sits at the heart of our operations. Across our sites, we actively recycle plastics, aluminium, cardboard and other materials used in packaging and warehousing. We work with dedicated recycling partners to ensure that as much waste as possible avoids landfill. We're continually refining these processes to reduce waste further and increase reuse across our supply chain.

The environmental impact of digital services is often overlooked, we’ve chosen to host our online platforms with providers who prioritise renewable energy. Our website is hosted through Shopify, which operates on Google Cloud — a platform powered entirely by renewable energy. This means every visit to our website is supported by carbon-neutral hosting.

We’re committed to reducing the carbon footprint of every order. That’s why we work only with delivery partners who share our environmental values and who actively invest in better, cleaner logistics. As we look ahead, we aim to introduce electric vehicles into our delivery network by 2027, reducing emissions even further. For international shipments, we continually assess routing, packaging and transport methods to minimise their environmental impact.

Reducing Waste & Supporting Circularity

Waste reduction is central to our sustainability journey. We constantly refine our packaging to use less material without compromising protection, favouring FSC-certified cardboard and reduced-plastic solutions. Better packaging means fewer damaged items, fewer returns and less waste overall.

We also design with circularity in mind. Many of our pieces can be repaired rather than replaced, and we offer replacement components where possible. In the future, we’re exploring refurbishment and take-back schemes, helping to extend the life of our products even further.

Indoor & Outdoor Living, Made Sustainably

Whether it's a dining table at the heart of your home or a garden set that hosts warm summer evenings, our approach is the same: thoughtful materials, responsible sourcing and designs built to last. Both our indoor and outdoor collections are crafted to age gracefully, reducing the need for frequent replacements and encouraging a slower, more conscious way of furnishing your home.

A Relationship with the Natural World

Much of what we create is inspired by outdoor living, so protecting the natural world is deeply important to us. Through responsible material sourcing, waste reduction and exploring future biodiversity support projects, we aim to act as custodians of the environments that inspire our designs. Connecting people with nature — whether in gardens, balconies or conservatories — is part of who we are.

Looking Ahead

Sustainability is a journey without a finish line. In the coming years, we are committed to expanding our use of FSC-certified timber, increasing recycled content in our materials and packaging, lowering our carbon footprint, improving supply chain transparency and investing in renewable power for our sites and services. We’ll continue to share updates as we progress.
